Domestic Violence

by Tom Leykis

Tom Leykis asks how “domestic violence” is any different – or worse – than any other kind of violence. Male or female, anyone who commits a violent act in the home should be in jail, regardless of gender. However, some people will choose to knowingly return to (or remain in) a relationship with an abusive partner, which is as mentally sick as having been mugged in an alley and deliberately returning for more of the same treatment. Those who refuse to remove themselves from this kind of situation are not actually a “victim”. They are as sick as the abuser.
