    http://www.businessinsider.com/mega-millions-lottery-winner-is-a-20-year-old-florida-man-2018-1

“A 20-year-old Florida man became an instant multi-millionaire last Friday upon discovering he won the $450 million Mega Millions
“Oh. My. God.” Shane Missler wrote on his Facebook page January 5, mere hours after the Mega Millions draw. He reportedly broke the news to his dad over a cup of coffee the next morning.
Missler — a accounts — will take the lump sum of $281,874,999, according to a statement from his lawyer.
“I’m only 20, but I hope to use it to pursue a variety of passions, help my family and do some good for humanity,” Missler said”

This yound Man is a woman away from total and complete financial ruin..and it appears he has already found his golddiger

281M lump sum. Lets see, he can invest that balance at a paltry 4% per year and live on a measly $11,240,000 a year before tax without even touching the principal. LOL

I hope he’s smart and doesnt get married and gets his tubes tied. Gold diggers going to be all over him

"He didn't marry until now, so he won't ever do it. Think about it, why would a man like him ever marry? It's too late to catch him. " ~some cunt

If you win $200 or more you are telling to nobody. If you are winning a ” life changing amount ” telling to nobody and depend on the area where you are living, you have to seriously consider to move far away where nobody knows you and start a new life.—- He put that news on Facebook…….A good chance people will try to kidnap him or his friends/family members for ransom….people will try to con him…..specially women…. charity organizations probably going to harass him all the time….. Ok he is only 20y old but he probably got a twin brother because it is very hard to believe that he can be that stupid alone.

When you are not surrounded by negativity all the time, you start having positive outlooks and are actually happy. Women now a days bring nothing but negativity. SIMPS as well. Best to go your own way and have your piece of mind you deserve.

What people call "love" is just a chemical reaction that compels animals to breed. It hits hard, then it slowly fades, leaving you stranded in a failing marriage. Your parents are gonna do it. Break the cycle. Rise above. Focus on science.

I have to laugh that the money was paid into a trust called “Secret 007” when his face is plastered all over the press. He needs to kiss his family goodbye and get the f~~~ out of dodge.

Announces it on C~~~book. Wants to ‘make humanity better’.

Dumber than a box of rocks.

I foresee wall to wall tuna, endless bad investments and divorce raped into penury by 40.

Assuming of course that he lives that long.

He won the lottery and as a result he has forfeit a relationship with a woman.

Is he a winner and a loser. He’ll never be able to have kids with a “regular” woman again. All will be gold diggers.

Lucky man, forced to go his own way.

Best to keep to honest women who have a ceiling on the cost of their services.

Buy an Island in the Carribean and build a mansion. Live in it and spend no other money than that.

    You have to live somewhere.

That’s what other rich guys who don’t want to get ass f~~~ed do. Wealthy drug lords own islands all over the Caribbean.

I would help out the poor with a 100.00 donation. I know mega rich people. They publicize their charitable giving. They only give a few hundred dollars.

Really rich families are cheap as s~~~ and total assholes. He needs to stop giving it to “help the world” and be an asshole or the surrogate born children of his will have nothing to inherit.

I was about to say that I guarantee every ex he ever had is going to come out of the woodworks to either try and get back with him or accuse him of something to try and get money out of him. One thing’s for damn sure if I ever won a lottery I’d carry that secret with me to the grave, if it costs me a couple extra mil to keep my face and name out of the paper/tv then so be it.

At least he can afford to go on a vacation that lasts a life time and a second passport and identity.

The f~~~!?!? Why would he tell people he won?
Why not keep it a secret and quietly enjoy your money?

Well, hopefully he doesn’t get f~~~ed over by some gold-digger and saves his money.

I congratulate the guy for his winnings and hope he spends the money wisely. If women must be involved ( for sex only!) I hope he protects himself and that he is careful.

I’m pretty sure you are not allowed to keep your winnings a secret.

If you win the lottery they are going to make it public because it is how they advertise.

How else would people know it was even possible to win if everyone just kept it secret? I’m sure its a condition in order to collect your money.

I mean granted I would keep it as secret as possible but If a single person you know finds out, soon everyone you know, will know.

You want to make me angry? I will take a bite out of that anger and shit out success.

I’d keep it quiet and simple but he is 20 and has had TV, films and music telling him you’re nothing without money. He’s just announced he is ‘something’ now. Hope he gets smarter soon.

I’m pretty sure you are not allowed to keep your winnings a secret.

It’s not that someone winning is kept secret. It’s their identity which is kept secret instead. In the US whether you can remain anonymous or not depends on the state in question because of the many problems arising from publicity mentioned in this thread.

I know of some instances when a trust fund has “won” the lottery. In draws rather than “scratchers” you have up to a year to collect on a winning ticket. In these cases a person with a winning ticket doesn’t immediately run to lottery headquarters to pose with the big prop check. Instead they set up a trust fund, deposit the winning ticket in it, and then the fund redeems the ticket.

Theres a reason theyre broke and buy lottery tickets.

I’m pretty sure you are not allowed to keep your winnings a secret.

Depends on country, in my place the lottery winner’s identity is secret.

Anyway, gambling is a scam, expectable outcome (as in statistics) is negative for the average player. What the news do not say, that the company running the show had probably already “won” billions from other player’s money, that’s how they work. Gambling is the tax on stupid people. I never buy lottery tickets.

What that guy can hope in, afterwards his name is in public is, that the general public forgets what they read in the news after a couple of days. And he needs to move to a new place in some time (a month later) where no one remembers his name from news. And delete all social media accounts. Go ghost. Lottery wins always change the social life to very bad, due to gold diggers (not only golddigger girls but the charities, unknown “friends”, and whoever.

People always seem to ask for more (all sorts of) help, than one can afford giving. — I for example — when I was still a “good blue pill guy”, as a scientist, know how to solve problems and ended up many times wasting my valuable free time solving other people’s problems and got minimal help if any in exchange. And I guess the people around that dude already want a 5 times more money in summary, than what he won. Simply saying, nothing is ever enough for people.)

Maybe move other part of the city or at least 20 miles away in a richer neighbourhood (so it’s less obvious).

And, live in a normal way, like don’t buy a Lambo but just a medium category car. Don’t buy a huge luxury house, just an average one. And invest in dashcam and cctv system and money safe, and pepper spray or gun if it’s legal. And a house guard dog.

I always noticed stories, that lottery winners lose the money. It is in fact, that they give a lot of money to someone who cannot distinguish assets from liabilities. Any luxury stuff is a liability. Repair and parts for (example) even a BMW are expensive (at least car magazines say that) and I don’t want to guess how much the repair of an even more expensive car costs. Car begins to be a liability if it is expensive, and not just a basic way of commuting. Heck, I even say, any car is a liability if I commute by bicycle. And a huge piece of real estate is a lot of work to keep, all sorts of household work, gardening, whatever, and real-estate taxes if that exist there. Any real estate beyond the basic need for shelter is just extra amount of liability, not an asset (because one does not plan to sell the place where he is living, or if he does then he will probably use the money to buy another real estate, because one needs to live somewhere.)

To summarize, that lottery ticket would have better use at the hands of a big businessman, who already earned a comparable amount and knows how to handle money. And use it to expand the business.

Thanks for the post, Darth Peter. Very enlightening.

I’m pretty good with money as far as not being in debt, but that’s about all I know.
