The University’s overreaction, with a formal reprimand of the student and his prescribed atonement, is absurd. I had to take several political science classes when I was in college (they don’t want us STEM folks graduating without being “well-rounded”). We had some animated discussions, especially in one particular class, where it was a liberal professor and a liberal majority against several libertarians and conservatives. When things got too rowdy, the professor calmed everyone down without threats or kicking anybody out of class… I don’t think that a person who is secure in his or her arguments would feel threatened by someone having a differing opinion.2018-03-13 at 6:22 AM #758940
It’s a shame, too… IUP used to be fairly well-respected, at least in certain fields.2018-03-13 at 6:34 AM #758943+1
“Back in the day” we equated sex and gender. One was the synonym of the other. Since that’s how we (first) learned it, that’s how we know and understand it.
Over the years, the SJWs and “educators” with lots of initials after their names decided to change the definitions, and they now proclaim sex as a biological attribute, and gender a social construct.
Since the university is their world, I suppose they assume they can choose the latter “definition” of gender as a sociology/psychology “feeling” or “role” or “attitude” for gender…which makes debating them on it completely useless.
But in the REAL world…
Let’s say there is a horrific accident and they need medical examiners to ID the body, or there is a crime scene and CSI experts need to ID the perp…I think they might be able to use DNA evidence to determine male as male or female as female…I am unaware of DNA for “gender” as the SJW and “educators” use the term. So, the killer might self-identify as a man, or claim the gender of male, but science PROVES the killer was a XX ovarian creature.2018-03-13 at 6:41 AM #758947+1
I had a liberal professor in college for honors political science (we mainly covered the Constitution). He was actually quite left, but not as far left as the modern SJW. He didn’t try to brainwash people, and he actually taught people to think critically.
He would pick apart both liberal and conservative positions that people presented in the class, if they were not logically supported. He was a real gem of a professor; a shame there are not more like him now.

I had a young 19-yr old gf there at IUP… I didn’t go there. That is about the time I figured out how emotionally unstable 19-yr old females are.
I SHOULD have been red-pilled by that. There was a condom-breach incident and she ended up pregnant, although I exhibited some doubt in her as to whether it was me or an ex. (she said she was 100% certain it was me) At the time I was very poor, had nothing better than a $6.50/hr job, and after a falling out, she reversed her story about it being my kid, cut off contact with me. Before we got close and had sex, I don’t think she understood my husbank lack of potential.
Years later, after googling out of curiosity, I found out she had latched onto a beta wallet, had invented a story about some guy from her college at a Halloween party raping her while she was drunk (I was out of state at the time and never went to her college) and her getting pregnant. Probably the same SOB story she told to her beta.
In my blue pill mind, I figured she probably got knocked up by her ex-bf, but sometime later I concluded I might have been the dad (after consulting a spreadsheet to calculate conception dates) and that she realized that $6.50/hr is p~~~ poor choice for a husbank and wanted me out of the picture. She had the pictures of her daughter all up on the web, and the girl looks almost like an identical twin to my daughter.
I’m not going to do any more poking around that minefield, though.

Any group believed themselves possessed of the one and only truth become single minded, which often is to say simple minded. Praise their truth and you win their undying devotion; make them feel mortal, vulnerable and flawed and you assign them to an internal hell – but both of those courses lead to destruction.2018-03-13 at 8:13 AM #758997+1

Same here, I had to waste the majority of my Credit Hours on subjective opinion based “Liberal Arts.”
The thing I noticed right away is that STEM is mostly dominated by highly intelligent conservative Men, who tend towards Libertarians.
The “Liberal Arts” was dominated by semi-illiterate “Libtards” and catered towards mostly women. They were very authoritarian control freak type of people. I also called out my Libtard professors for lying about history, which they did quite often. They tried to fail me for having different opinions, but they couldn’t. I got perfect scores on all the exams so the only thing they could do was give me a zero for class participation.
This still p~~~es me off because it ruined my Perfect Scores at college. I could have had a solid 4.0 grade average except for the “Libtarded” classes I was forced to take.

If you really want to confuse a liberal. Ask them why most trannies are male to female. Easy answer, those with privilege rarely want to lose what they have.
So why would men who have privilege give it all up to be an oppressed woman?
And think of the state of society where a man who dresses/acts like a woman is treated better than a man who knows he’s a man. Used to be men that were confused like that were committed or potentially put through shock therapy.
The whole argument of privelege is such a shaky argument it wobbles more than HRC when you put it against any opposition.
Hope that someday I may lead others the path I have learned. As Virgil led Dante through Hell.2018-03-14 at 1:53 AM #759557
The problem is the germ (i meant term) gender to begin with and that is the fact that gender is bulls~~~ but biological sex is part of reality.
As a man it is part of the gender role to be some white knight retard serving the needs of society and women however that is not reality the only truth is that the sex involved is male and sex exists.
Just an east coast asshole who likes to curse, If you get offended by words like fuck, cunt, shit, piss, bitch or any racial slurs then you just scroll down.
