Hey guys its been quite a while but making some good few strides in life thanks to some good advice I’ve gotten on here ( thanks for that by the way)

I have been personally managing to get out of a mental rut and landed my self quite a good job in the financial business world which has pretty good connections as a place i can make a good career in and work my way up as a long term career if I put in the effort and show I’m willing to put in the work, even though it was not my first choice of career path its still pretty good and gives me fulfillment and chances to progress.

With that being said I have to admit that I know for certain I’m gonna have to play the game a little bit even just to start to make connections with people and network to allow myself the chance get up and advance if possible.

So I’m looking for any good nuggets of advice in office survival.

That being said due to the nature of my work I will have to work with women and play ball no bother for the most part but I need to make sure I don’t suffer any HR stuff by flirting or giving off any signals that are non professional signals such as “being creepy”.

The main rule I know is of course no flirting with any of my co workers ( don’t s~~~ where you eat !!!!) That I have down no problem, but for the rest I need to some how find ways to make sure I protect myself and stil socialize and work well as a team with people and the women in the team while appearing friendly but protecting myself.

Any tips or helpful rules with some examples if possible would be awesome.

    Thanks very much

Say please and thank you to everyone.
Say sir and ma’am to everyone.
    Give more than expected.
If you are on time, you’re late.
Treat everyone the way you’d like to be treated.
    Volunteer/raise your hand.
Never falsify a record even a little.
And what you were probably looking for:
Never be in a room alone with a woman with a door closed.
On a business trip, never drink with a coworker female.
Never go in a female’s hotel room even for a second…never let her in your room.
Never let them make you think you are “one of them” and can say/do anything they get away with.
Never talk about women, or make a joke about women, etc. around ANYONE…including men…it will get out.
Never say anything negative about your work, or about any coworker.
Never pay a compliment like “I like your haircut,” “That’s a pretty ring,” I like that color,” etc.
Remember: YOU ARE BEING JUDGED ALL THE TIME. YOU ARE BEING RECORDED ALL THE TIME (mentally, and/or video, and/or email).
Anything you write, say, or do can be used against you. Don’t get lulled into a sense of safety.
If you offend one, reject one, or show preference to one, there WILL be retaliation.
Emails are records that last forever…so are Instant Messages/Skype.
Never send memes, tell jokes, etc.
BE PLEASANT, BE POLITE, BE POSITIVE, BE HELPFUL BUT BE VIGILANT…NEVER LET YOUR GUARD DOWN…DON’T GET COMPLACENT.

    Go To Work DAILY….Arrive Early

    Mind YOUR BUSINESS

Don’t get involved the “Office Gossip”

The Number One in a for profit business is to Make/Save them Money

If you are Good or preferably Great at making them Money then all the rest will fall in to place for you

One of the best things I was ever told was if you are sick, you still get paid the same amount of money being at work. It seems stupid, but its true.

YOU have to look out for YOU first. Do not sacrifice health for Money. Your health is the reason you have money.

And ALWAYS look out for NUMBER ONE. Like it or not, Being Selfish at work is good for everyone.

But don’t forget at the same time that when you go the extra mile, no one is going to remember when you make a mistake. All they remember is the mistake. SO DON’T MAKE THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE.

When you do, HANDLE IT. MOve on. And LEARN.

Don’t forget that your job is to invest in you. NOT YOUR COMPANY. If you like your boss, then fine. Just remember, you are only there to work. Follow that, and you will be fine. If better opportunities arise, you take them.

Never forget, just like an athlete trains. SO SHOULD YOU. Never get comfortable with being “Senior”. You understand that all things are temporary, and CHANGE is what makes money.

Working hard is good. BUT WORKING SMART? That is how you get ahead in life. AND NEVER be LAZY with yourself. And that also means, don’t be lazy on enjoying your own life.

    COngrats man!

You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home

    Office Guide.

    1. Avoid all women at all times as much as physically possible.

    2. Do not do any small talk with women at work, at all.

    3. Get a phone recorder app and have it running at all times at work, especially when you are around women.

    4. No off-hours fraternizing with women coworkers and manginas/betas/tradcons/simps. Never.

    5. When you have to talk to women employ the Pence rule.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

Lots of good advise here. Just keep in mind at all times, as a single man you have a target on your back.
