That is that the right side tends to ignore them and not take it seriously until it starts to gain enough support that it becomes a much tougher job to kill

Which in part happens because right wingers have been against beneficial Economic and Social Policies for decades now. Republicans are the ones arguing for right to work laws (aka the right to work for less) the disbanding or gutting of Union power and gutting of Policies which protect and promote Workers while Bernie Sanders is for a Living wage, Unionization, Single payer, not gutting Medicare etc which is why he is the most popular Politician in the Country.

Workers in Nebraska or the Rust belt listen and realize based on Policy something Republicans have been lacking or lying about (like Trump now proposing to cut Medicare and other Social programs).

Or perhaps as a way for the left’s radical plans to seem more of a centrist position in comparison to what AOC is gunning for.

Which is why Norway, Germany and Australia should be like the Soviet Union now unlike how they are. Also when it comes to Radical plans i consider what the right wing is doing now to be even more Radical (like trying a Coup in Venezuela for their oil, demanding the Military budget be increased, Trump pushing for another cold war with his exiting of a treaty signed by Ronald Reagan which might start an Arms race against Russia).

Just an east coast asshole who likes to curse, If you get offended by words like fuck, cunt, shit, piss, bitch or any racial slurs then you just scroll down.

“Living wage” laws are a joke, like the “fight for 15”. If this continues to get traction, I’m going to invest in the companies that make robots and the kiosks like you are starting to see in McDonald’s. I’ll make money for every $15/hr employee that gets laid off, LOL.

There is also foreign labor. Globalism and robots killed the labor unions. Auto-workers for a long time had high wages guaranteed by the unions, and overplayed their hand. Unions were necessary, because of the abuses, but the pendulum swung too far, and the workers have paid the price in the form of globalism.

At this point, nothing is really going to help. Trump is not going to Make America Great Again. And idiots like AOC are going to make it worse. Like it or not, globalism will see to it that the income of American workers is going to be averaged out with the income of a couple billion Chinese and Indians.

All my life I've had doubts about who I am, where I belonged. Now I'm like the arrow that springs from the bow. No hesitation, no doubts. The path is clear. And what are you? Alive. Everything else is negotiable. Women have rights; men have responsibilities; MGTOW have freedom. Marriage is for chumps. If someone stands in the way of true justice, you simply walk up behind them and stab them in the heart-R'as al Ghul.

I have been to Mcdonald’s and yes they still require Workers but the fact you ignore is Automation is the trend regardless of Minimum wage or not. And other Countries do have a Living wage where it works whether it is set via a Minimum wage (like Australia) or decided by Unions (like Sweden and Norway).

I’ll make money for every $15/hr employee that gets laid off, LOL.

Actually not as likely due to the increased earnings, increasing Consumer demand which stimulates the Economy (while Poverty wages means only Dollar Stores and Mcdonald’s are getting stimulating with the rest suffering).

Unions were necessary, because of the abuses, but the pendulum swung too far, and the workers have paid the price in the form of globalism

The fact is shipping Jobs out is still far cheaper then having the Cars made overhere and it is not Unions which killed the Jobs (but Corporate decisions due to the fact of them being allowed to make the ones that f~~~ us over). Globalism is what Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton all pushed for where they both shifted Jobs away and damaged Unions.

Like it or not, globalism will see to it that the income of American workers is going to be averaged out with the income of a couple billion Chinese and Indians.

Which is the fault of free trade and other Libertarian ideas which did not exist when Presidents were more reasonable (from about 1933 to 1980 despite faults in between like JFK).

Is that why the economy is doing so well right now? Oh wait, it’s not Trump policies, it’s Obama’s policies that are the cause, right?

Republicans are the ones arguing for right to work laws (aka the right to work for less) the disbanding or gutting of Union power and gutting of Policies which protect and promote Workers while Bernie Sanders is for a Living wage, Unionization, Single payer, not gutting Medicare etc which is why he is the most popular Politician in the Country.

I love living in a right to work state. I don’t have a problem with unions, but they should be voluntary and there to serve the worker. Currently, it’s a way to steal from workers and fund democratic politicians, against the will of the worker.

    Ok. Then do it.

So what exactly are you suggesting here. Unions keet worker costs high, while foreign car companies were able to produce cars for much cheaper, thus selling them for cheaper. How were US car companies supposed to compete in foreign markets? Were they just suppose to produce for the US market only? How were US companies going to compete against foreign cars in the US? Are you in favor of a massive tariff on foreign cars then to even the market? How is any of that fair to the US consumer, when cars in the US cost significantly more than cars purchased elsewhere?

Hold up, is ‘corporate decisions’ not referring to deciding to move overseas? What decisions f~~~ed us over? Are you suggesting that US government should be running car companies to prevent these ‘f~~~ us over decisions’? If that’s the case, why is it that Chevrolet, which has had a lot of government intervention, doing worse that Ford, who refused government assistance?

    Ok. Then do it.

    LOL.

I ignore nothing about the trend in automation. You are ignoring the fact that it will INCREASE the speed of that trend. I’m not sure that is a good thing.

Oh wait, it’s not Trump policies, it’s Obama’s policies that are the cause, right?

Half of US Workers make 30k a year or less and Obama created more low wage non Union Jobs thereby this Economy is not great for the Working man. Just because CEO’s, Investors and other megarich People are doing better then ever (more Wealth inequality then ever) does not mean the Working man is doing good and while Obama is better then Trump (it is not too hard to be better then him) Obama was not a great President.

but they should be voluntary and there to serve the worker. Currently, it’s a way to steal from workers and fund democratic politicians, against the will of the worker.

Generally they are beneficial to the Worker (despite personally knowing a Union which sucks and pays Workers below a Living wage) however do you agree with the idea of taking money out of Politics? so no more Superpacs, Corporate money, Corporate Dinners (aka Hillary Clinton getting paid off by having Dinners where they charge 1000 dollars a plate) and yes even Union money?

Are you in favor of a massive tariff on foreign cars then to even the market? How is any of that fair to the US consumer, when cars in the US cost significantly more than cars purchased elsewhere?

I’ll answer just these 2 and yes i agree with Tariffs on Foreign cars and on cars which American Companies create foreign nations and Foreign car Companies can just do what they do now (Hondas being made in Ohio).

And when it comes to the price of cars they generally are expensive even Foreign ones which is why alot of People lease their Cars (because they want to drive something new despite not being able to afford it) and finally on this point it could be argued that there is no free market for Cars since they must fit regulations for Quality, Emissions and safety (something of which i am full agreement with) so i cannot just by a Car from China and drive it on American roads.

What decisions f~~~ed us over? Are you suggesting that US government should be running car companies to prevent these ‘f~~~ us over decisions’?

No simply putting Regulation on them moving out of the Country in order to pay Workers less and pocket the products is enough. The only case id really see for Government seizing control would be in case of heavy wartime for a limited amount of time so let’s say Dodge were not creating Tanks for the US Army in the second world war but supplied Hitler in that case there is a good argument to take control but based on normal operations no.

why is it that Chevrolet, which has had a lot of government intervention, doing worse that Ford, who refused government assistance?

Ford reportedly took a bailout back in the 1980’s under Reagan due to their Cars having Transmission problems which had Ford send out stickers and not issuing a recall (which would have been 25 million cars needing service which would have bankrupted it however Government assistance is not the only reason GM went Bankrupt/is not doing so good after the fact and you ignore that Ford receives giant tax cuts/breaks and that Ford is trying to get tax breaks from Detroit to expand there.

So Ford does not have a sqeaky clean record.

Why not simply set $50 as the minimum wage? Or $80?

Because that is retarded nonsense by Ben Shapiro meant to divert attention from the real argument however a better argument is why would Jeff Bezos be allowed to have hundreds of billions of dollars despite the fact we have homeless vets, millions without Healthcare, millions with s~~~ty healthcare and a slacking Education system?

AOC’s Popularity Crashes in Recent Poll

AOC’s Popularity Crashes in Recent Poll

The more people know about AOC, the less they like her. Does that really surprise you? Socialism has never been all that popular in this country, and besides, people see her making herself a fool, and that doesn’t help. In the previous poll by Gallup poll, AOC had a 24% favorable rating and a 26% unfavorable rating. She has gained 7% in favorable ratings, but her unfavorable rating shot up to 41%, a gain of 15%. So, it seems the more people know about her, the more they dislike her.

New poll: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez unpopular among New Yorkers

New poll: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez unpopular among New Yorkers

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., may be popular with the Democratic Party’s far-left activist wing, but not as much in her home state, according to new poll numbers.

A poll released Monday by the Siena College Research Institute found that AOC’s favorability was at 31 percent, while her unfavorability was 13 points higher, at 44 percent.

————This clown is going to get hammered I think in the next election. If liberal leftist in NYC don’t like her then there is not much chance she goes far now.

AOC’s Popularity Crashes in Recent Poll

Your source is unreliable but even worse then that is it defends Amazons Crony Capitalism as their Long Island City deal was. Amazon wanted their 21th HQ in Long Island City but would do so only on the basis of getting Tax breaks and Incentives and AOC (regardless of personal opinion) could not have done nothing on that matter as it is not her district.

Socialism has never been all that popular in this country

Which is why FDR was elected 4 times to Office and his Policies stuck till about the 1980 once Reagan got into Office (with of course minor tweaks beforehand like JFK cutting taxes).

Now when it comes to popularity AOC is not the most important Person as Bernie Sanders keeps increasing in his Popularity the more he speaks and he is the most Democrat in the 2020 race (unlike AOC who could not even run if she wanted too).

A poll released Monday by the Siena College Research Institute found that AOC’s favorability was at 31 percent, while her unfavorability was 13 points higher, at 44 percent.

Older Democrats tend to favor their pick of Person rather then the new one, This is why Clinton in 2008 won New Jersey, New York and others while other States went for Obama in the primaries.

————This clown is going to get hammered I think in the next election. If liberal leftist in NYC don’t like her then there is not much chance she goes far now.

How much are you willing to bet on that? also based on hammered let’s define it in line with the 2008 election aka a massive asswhooping rather then the 2000 election (a disputed slapping fest).

If the globalists want Ocasio-Cortez in, she’ll be in, regardless of what the populace think.

At the moment they are trying her out to see if she is controllable (vagina, non-white and a psychopath, so she meets the immediate criteria), but it’s not looking good for her – she may be too crazy even for them.

I personally have no problem putting a 60% highest tax bracket on earnings, and no problem with treating capital gains as regular income, and doing mark-to-market as the measure for capital gains income. The tax rate was like 70% back in Eisenhower’s day and I don’t think that crimped capitalism or innovation too much.

Setting wages though is akin to price controls, and Nixon tried that in the 1970’s, to poor effect.

So-called “free trade” doesn’t work so well when other countries don’t play by the same rules, and your own country implements crony capitalism more than market capitalism. Outsourcing is crap when other countries labor safety and environmental standards are not making a level playing field… what you have is a race-to-the-bottom.

I’m not a free trade fundamentalist, and recognize market capitalism needs SOME regulation because of market externalities, but I am diametrically opposed to crony capitalism.

I don’t know all the stats and don’t care to do all the work to prove that the econony is doing well. I don’t accept your argument either as I see the economy as doing well based on improvements. Stats about workers making less than 30k says nothing about what it used to be or the direction things are moving. Nor would I agree that just giving people more money without corresponding increased value of work on their part is the way to address this.

Unions have their place and can benefit workers, but far too many do not. As far as campaign finance, I do agree, but I don’t think we can just remove all these sources without some sort of alternative financing. I do not want it to be a matter of who can provide their own funding and who can get the most attention from the media.

What does any of this have to do with artificially raising the costs of US made cars through mandated employee salaries? You are putting US car makers at a disadvantage when this happens. No way around that.

I never said Ford was 100% clean, nor that they never took any bailouts. I was referring to the most recent bailout and it’s impacts. I don’t have any issue with corporations leveraging their financial benefit to a city when seeking tax cuts. And yes, GM has made bad decisions since the bailout, which only adds to the reasons I don’t want them or other corporations given bailouts. The government, the people, have no say in these decisions, yet it is our money that is lost.

Calling it retarded doesn’t answer the question. Why is Jeff Bezos allowed to have his own money? Because he earned it. He worked, took risks, invested, etc. Why should he be more responsible for paying for other peoples needs/wants than those people themselves? Why do you think the government should just take money from him, but not from you? I’m no fan of Bezos, but the idea that we should just get the government to steal from people because they have a lot of it doesn’t fly with me. Especially when the government has has proven over the decades that will spend that money poorly.

And I would not throw vets into that group. They should be better taken care. I see the bigger problem is that we entrust the government to take care of them, and again, they suck at it.

    Ok. Then do it.

There is a problem, though. The American middle class usually pays a higher amount of taxes proportionally than the rich, because capital gains is treated differently than income, and the rich earn most of their income through capital gains.

I’m not sure why a middle class American should pay 40% of their income in taxes, only to see billionaires only pay 20% simply because they have money to spare to invest.

Neither the Republicans nor the Democrats are friends of the American middle class. Republicans only care about the rich, and Democrats only care about the urban poor, parasites and illegal aliens. F~~~ them both.

All my life I've had doubts about who I am, where I belonged. Now I'm like the arrow that springs from the bow. No hesitation, no doubts. The path is clear. And what are you? Alive. If the globalists want Ocasio-Cortez in, she’ll be in, regardless of what the populace think.

I get that idea but i disagree as even if the majority of the State of New York hates her she only needs to win the district she easily won to be voted in Representive again. She is not the Senate nor is she a Governor thereby she has an easier race to win rather then MR she will be crushed (something i don’t agree with) in the election.

Setting wages though is akin to price controls, and Nixon tried that in the 1970’s, to poor effect.

I believe in setting at least a Living wage if not setting wages by Unions as that is a far better solution then the right to work laws which undercut and f~~~ the Working class over. Now onto Narwhal

says nothing about what it used to be or the direction things are moving

It means there is an upper class which is exceedingly getting richer and richer while the Workers keep getting poorer and poorer (to higher levels of Wealth inequality and a worse Society) which is occurring because of Reganomics and free trade.

Nor would I agree that just giving people more money without corresponding increased value of work on their part is the way to address this

There are ideas (i am not stating facts due to lacking the source at the moment and it’s 3am my time) that Workers produce over 20 dollars an hour of value to their Company and that 7.25 is having them not reap the reward (and that Workers today are considered more productive then in the past).

I do not want it to be a matter of who can provide their own funding and who can get the most attention from the media.

The facts still show that money in Politics is still a very corrupt thing one example (which you should enjoy) is that it was reported in 2012 that Obama spent over 721 million dollars getting relected with Mitt Romney spending only 450 million dollars to lose his election (based on Conservative numbers and no not that kind of Conservative so i might be lowballing it).

You are putting US car makers at a disadvantage when this happens. No way around that

Which basically says by having Unions/Living wage Car Companies have to pay more unlike in China where they can be be paid for less giving the Chinese an advantage due to reduced labor costs? what i have to say his yes there are increased labor costs but at the benefits of more Americans rather then the CEO’s even if there is an increased cost to buy a Car (which Regulation also keeps it up as they must build it according to them).

But after that (aka our current system with it’s free trade and everything) the cheapest car one can buy new (the 2019 model) is a piece of s~~~ Nissan Versa which goes for about 12,000 and despite the low price of it the fact is most People in this Country would have to put that on a Lease to buy it and one of the biggest personal Economic lessons is that buying new cars is a waste of money as it goes down in price and eventually ends up as a 500 to 2000 dollar car on the Internet. And for a personal example of that back in 2000 the Car i drive now was worth 26k but i bought it for 3k last year so if i bought the car in 2000 and sold it in 2018 i would have a loss (at minimum) of 23k which excludes the repairs and inflation.

The government, the people, have no say in these decisions, yet it is our money that is lost.

Since the bailout is over (aside from the common tax breaks) there is no say anymore but in the future they can be changed if People voted those with the anti bailout sentiment into Office and if they stick with their guns.

Why is Jeff Bezos allowed to have his own money? Because he earned it. He worked, took risks, invested, etc.

Because the System f~~~ed up and did not tax it at a high enough rate to where Jeff Bezos is no longer very rich but now mega rich while there are homeless vets, a s~~~ Healthcare system, s~~~ Education system etc which is far more important to deal with then letting Bezos keep a 100 billion dollars. Also he is a crony as f~~~ Capitalist who demands tax breaks and cuts to build his Warehouses and HQ’s and wanted the tax payers of New York to pay for his Helipad (despite he is the richest man alive or was before his coming divorce rape).

Why should he be more responsible for paying for other peoples needs/wants than those people themselves?

Because the way a logical tax system works is that the richer you are the higher amount you pay in taxes and it goes on a Progressive scale unlike our System where the really rich pay lower rates and the Working class pays more in rates).

Why do you think the government should just take money from him, but not from you?

As i said i believe in a Progressive tax system and yes the Government does tax me (Federal, State and Local taxes apply) but in what i state it would be at a lower rate then the rich (not Trump’s bulls~~~ where i am gonna pay more in taxes in a couple years due to the sunset provision on his tax bill for those who make less then 80k a year).

we entrust the government to take care of them, and again, they suck at it.

Which is better then trusting the Private sector to do it which motive is profit.

    Finally just this

Neither the Republicans nor the Democrats are friends of the American middle class. Republicans only care about the rich, and Democrats only care about the urban poor, parasites and illegal aliens. F~~~ them both.

I half agree with you as Democrats have turned away from the Working class and their better days under FDR but could become like the old days by more Bernie Sanders Policy influence (regardless of what happens in 2020).

I held my nose and voted for Bernie Sanders over Hillary in the primary, and for Trump in the general. (I would have voted for Sanders over Cruz)

I refused to vote for any pure globalist candidate like Hillary or Ted Cruz. Voting nationalist over globalist, took priority over questions of left or right.
